The
rendering of the figures and the limited color palette indicate
the late 1700s to early 18 hundreds as the time period
for this print design. Bearing much in common with the subject
of Image 16 one can hopefully appreciate this example for
similar reasons. Specifically, a detailed examination of the
style of life as conducted at the end of the 18th century.
Our subject Bonsai in this case is again the familiar Goyomatsu
[White Pine most likely]. What most impresses me about this
residential portrait is the scale, texture and in real life,
the color that is contributed to this interior design by the
Bonsai itself.
